We are now recruiting a support assistant for Gärdsåsgatan group housing, located in Bergsjön! Here six residents live in their own apartments with access to shared spaces. The target group is individuals within psychiatry with active substance use. The operations are individually tailored and offer 24-hour support based on LSS and implementation plans. About the Position As a support assistant, you work closely with residents and provide educational and motivating support in daily life. The work tasks are varied and include both support at home and in contacts with community life and recreational activities. The goal of our work is for each person to have a daily life with as high a degree of self-determination, participation, quality of life, and security as possible. You work both independently and together with colleagues to provide each resident with individually tailored support in their daily life. The work may include: - Educational and social support in everyday activities - Personal care - Support with household tasks such as cooking and cleaning - Medication management according to delegation - Documentation - Collaboration with networks around the individual In your assignment, you may also get to work and participate in starting up our new service residence Nedre Hjällbogärdet, where 8 residents will move in during fall 2026. This service residence has a similar focus on target group as Gärdsåsgatan. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a diploma from the Healthcare and Care Program, support assistant training, or Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or educational work. The educational requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational school credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, or social work. It is highly desirable that you have a 2-year vocational higher education in treatment assistant/social pedagogue or a higher education degree as social worker. To take on the role, you also need at least 2 years of documented experience working with the target group of mental disabilities and active substance use. Communication is an important part of the work, which means you must have good knowledge of Swedish language both spoken and written. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1, Swedish as a second language, or equivalent, you may be offered to take a language test via test provider Educateit. Good computer skills are a requirement. We work in Treserva, Time Care, and Personec, and we see it as positive if you have experience working in any of the above. We would like to see that you have knowledge of and experience with several of the following methods: LAB (Low-Affect Behavior), AKK (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), Clarifying Pedagogy, IBIC (Individual's Needs in Focus), ESL (An Independent Life), and MI (Motivational Interviewing). You are calm and confident in challenging and complex situations. You can quickly change your perspective and approach and see opportunities in changes. You have good understanding of individuals' different conditions and adapt your communication to the recipient to create participation and engagement. You are clear in your professional role and act professionally in situations where others question you or make unreasonable demands.
