Support Assistant at Ekebacka Group Home

Popis:

Do you want to work with adults receiving LSS support in a rural environment and find it important to make a difference? Then Ekebacka group home might be for you! We're looking for someone with a strong interest in clear pedagogical methods, structure, and who enjoys working in an environment where no two days are the same. Your Role As a support assistant at Ekebacka, you work to provide individually tailored support to service users in their daily living. Through a clear working approach, you contribute to predictability, structure, and security in everyday life based on each person's needs and circumstances. The role includes planning, establishing implementation plans, documenting, conducting regular follow-ups, and contributing to maintaining high quality in the operations. You collaborate with parents, relatives, guardians, and other actors both internally and externally. Work tasks are varied and may include support with cleaning, cooking, personal hygiene, and medication management. You plan your work together with the person you support and recognize the importance of each individual being involved and having influence over their daily life. You encourage leisure and cultural activities as well as participation in society based on the service user's individually set goals. The aim is to create conditions for each person to live as independently as possible. Since challenging behaviors may occur in the operations, you work with low-arousal responses and behavior mapping. You understand the importance of building good relationships, working methodically, and giving each service user the opportunity for influence and participation. Your Knowledge and Experience We're looking for someone with a degree from the Care and Health Program with a focus on disabilities, or the Children's and Leisure Program with a focus on support and service within the disability field (social work), or other education or work experience that the employer deems equivalent. It is advantageous if you have experience in social psychiatry and extensive experience working in the disability field. For this position, you must be able to work methodically according to established procedures and have professional conduct. You have experience with low-arousal responses and behavior mapping and feel confident using alternative communication methods such as visual supports and social stories. We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in the target group and who wants to contribute to giving other people a meaningful life. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working together with both colleagues and other professionals around the service user. As a person, you are calm, confident, and responsible. You have the ability to adapt to changed circumstances, prioritize work, and see opportunities instead of obstacles. You express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing and feel confident with documentation. Good computer skills are required, and knowledge of Lifecare or similar systems is advantageous. You must be able to provide a certificate from the police record (belastningsregister). Type of certificate: Work in homes with elderly and people with disabilities You must also be able to provide a passport/valid ID card.
