Welcome to become part of our team at Postmästarens and Solgläntans group homes. Job Duties We are now seeking engaged and responsible team members for our operations. The position is shared between Postmästarens and Solgläntans group homes as the operations are co-planned. Since we work with people, no two days are ever the same. You need the ability to quickly adapt, think in new ways, and be creative. The variety in the work means you are constantly challenged and develop. As a support assistant, you provide individually tailored support in daily life, both at home and during activities outside the residence. You work based on each individual's implementation plans and their personal goals. The work is shaped together with the individual and in collaboration with family/loved ones, representatives, daily activities, and healthcare. Therefore, the work requires flexibility and collaboration skills. We continuously work to develop support and create clarity in daily life through adapted communication and educational tools, such as visual supports and schedules. The operations use, among other things, Widgit Online and Picture My Life. Documentation is carried out in accordance with applicable legislation and social documentation is a central part of the work. The work can be physically demanding in certain situations and support in everyday activities, which requires that you have good physical capacity. Working hours are scheduled for daytime, but primarily evenings, overnight on-call duties, and every other weekend. About the Workplace The Social Services Department's primary mission is to offer individually adapted support and services in elderly care, support for persons with functional disabilities, children and families, adults, and financial assistance. We are present for municipal residents throughout all stages of life. The Functional Support Department provides support to persons who have been granted services under the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Functional Disabilities (LSS). Solgläntans group home consists of seven apartments and is located in a rural setting in Ösmo with proximity to beautiful forest areas, but just a stone's throw from built-up areas with access to several bus and train connections. Postmästarens group home, with five apartments, is located in the center of Nynäshamn with proximity to public transportation, shops, and the beautiful harbor area. The work team for these operations consists of 12 support assistants and one group manager. The unit manager is also responsible for two group homes in Sorunda. What We Are Looking For in You To succeed in the role, you have: Nursing assistant education with a focus on functional variation or other education that the employer deems equivalent Current or recent experience working in group homes and/or service homes under LSS Relevant experience in the near future with clarifying pedagogy and clarifying work methods Experience working with behavioral difficulties Basic computer skills Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you have: Experience and knowledge of low-arousal approaches Experience with digital assistive technology systems (Widgit Online and Picture My Life) Experience working with challenging/acting-out behavior Experience working with alternative communication Driver's license category B.
