Daily activities should contribute to personal development and promote participation in society based on the participant's needs and circumstances. The overall goal of daily activities is to develop the individual's independence, create a sense of coherence, and provide opportunities for work. Läs och hör's daily activities are located at Backen and focus on individuals with intellectual disabilities. The focus areas are media, movement, creativity, and crafts. At Läs och hör, participants create, fill, and publish their own newspaper called "Olika äger." They engage in various craft projects, create handicrafts that are sold at markets, and learn to find joy in movement through individually adapted exercise programs. The activity center is now seeking a new, creative support assistant who wants to help develop the program further! Your Responsibilities Your main responsibilities will be to plan, lead, and develop meaningful activities based on each individual's needs and circumstances. The goal is to create a stimulating and enriching daily program that strengthens participants' independence and involvement. Your role includes providing individually tailored support—both social and practical—to promote personal development and contribute to meaningful engagement. You will be part of a team where you and your colleagues together are responsible for planning activities and participants' individual schedules. Documentation is part of the position through journaling and developing and monitoring implementation plans. Collaboration with other activities within disability services occurs. At Läs och hör's daily activities, we work with clear structure, stable routines, and pedagogical support. All activities take place in groups. As a support assistant, you work in a solution-focused and structured manner with strong focus on identifying participants' various interests and needs. Teamwork is central, and together we create a safe and sustainable environment for participants—where we actively encourage creativity and support development and participation. About You Your work approach should be characterized by flexibility, continuity, and a sense of security. We practice low-affective approaches and strengthen our communication through clear pedagogy. As a person, you have strong collaboration skills, a professional demeanor, and are creative in developing work tasks and group activities. You also have the ability to structure, plan, motivate, and support individuals in reaching their goals. Personal suitability will carry significant weight. To enable you to communicate with users, family members, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive any possible medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Requirements: Degree from the Care and Health Program, social work program, leisure pedagogy program, or another education that the employer deems equivalent Meritorious: Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or neuropsychiatric diagnoses Experience or education in art, creativity, newspaper production, or similar areas Experience with Supported Employment, motivational interviewing, and low-affective approaches Sign language support (AKK/TAKK) Good computer skills and experience with administrative tasks To ensure that people called to interviews are the best match for what we are seeking, we use screening questions.
