The Workplace
Day Activity Program Herrhagen is an activity within LSS that uses music and opportunities for various group and individual activities to promote participation, community, and development.
The program works to offer a safe and meaningful daily life where participants' needs, wishes, and abilities are at the center.
We are now seeking a support assistant for a temporary position through June 2027.
Work Duties
As a support assistant, you work closely with participants, assistants, and colleagues, providing individually adapted support based on participants' needs and conditions. The assignment involves creating opportunities for participation, communication, and development in daily activities.
The work includes, among other things:
Planning, conducting, and evaluating activities based on participants' needs.
Providing support in communication and social interaction.
Working with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
Documenting in accordance with applicable guidelines.
Collaborating with colleagues, personal assistants, family members, supervisors, and other collaborating parties.
Providing support in personal care based on participants' individual needs.
Contributing to the program's development and quality.
Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday, 07:45-15:45.
Qualifications
Requirements
Trained nursing assistant or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent.
Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
Interest in working with people with significant disabilities.
Experience working in LSS activities.
Meritorious
Knowledge or experience with AAC and other communication supports.
Experience with low-arousal approaches.
Knowledge or experience with autism.
Knowledge or experience working with music and creative activities.
Experience working with people with significant and complex support needs.
