Job Responsibilities We are now recruiting support assistants who want to work with us at BmSS Liberagatan Floor 9! BmSS Liberagatan is centrally located in new premises near Karlatornet on Hisingen. BmSS Liberagatan consists of two units located on separate floors. Your placement will be on floor 9, but certain work shifts may be performed on floor 10. This is because the units work closely together. Both residences serve people with both physical and intellectual disabilities. The work involves providing support in all daily situations – at home, at work or in daily activities as well as during leisure activities. This can include care work, support with mobility, social activities and health-promoting measures. The people we meet have varying support needs. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is confident, attentive and can adapt your support based on different life situations and individual needs. We work based on the belief that every individual should be involved and have the opportunity to influence their daily life. The goal is for each person to be given the best possible conditions to develop towards as independent a life as possible. The assignment also includes being a contact person for a couple of individuals. This means you have contact with relatives and other networks and actively work with implementation plans and ongoing social documentation. All social documentation takes place in the documentation system Treserva. Work is scheduled for day, evening and weekend shifts. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has a degree from the Care and Health Program, support assistant training or the Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational credits, 120 higher education credits or a combination thereof equivalent to at least four terms of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is required; you need to have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through Educateit. You must have experience working with AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), as several of our service users lack speech and depend on adapted communication support in their daily lives. You need to be confident in using various communication tools and be able to adapt your approach based on the individual's circumstances. Good swimming ability is a requirement for the position, as swimming is a recurring and important part of the activities. You need to feel safe and comfortable in water and be able to actively participate in pool activities. Merits It is meritorious if you have experience with tube feeding and working with people who have epilepsy. You have a respectful and professional approach and remain calm even in pressured situations. With an open and inclusive attitude, you create good working relationships. You express yourself clearly and adapt your communication to the recipient and context so that your message gets across. You see the big picture in your assignment, understand how your work affects the overall operation and contribute through good collaboration to the development and quality of the operation. Other Information Submit educational certificates under other files. Selection and interviews will begin during the application period. In this recruitment, you will be asked a number of questions where you can describe your knowledge in the field instead of submitting a personal letter.
