Description of the Operation We are now seeking a support assistant who will work at three different residences in the center. Your primary placement will be at Lindebo group home, but you will also work at two other residences on Ahrenbergsgatan and Smögengatan. Lindebo is a residence for 5 users with various forms of functional variations. We work with users who have autistic traits, intellectual functional variations, and physical disabilities. The users have varied needs for support and assistance in their daily lives. The work involves considerable personal care and assistive devices. Everyone has their own apartment on the ground floor in a separate house. Ahrenbergsgatan and Smögengatan are two service residences where users with neuropsychiatric functional disabilities (NPF), such as autism and ADHD, intellectual functional disabilities, mental health functional disabilities, and mental health issues live. Comorbidity/substance abuse may occur. Challenging behavior can occur here and we work based on low-arousal approaches. Work Tasks As a support assistant, you will be an important part of the residents' daily lives. You help create structure, security, and quality of life and contribute to enabling each individual to live as independently and meaningfully as possible, both at home and in society. The work tasks include, among other things: • Create structure and provide educational support in daily life • Support personal care with respect and attentiveness • Meal preparation and other household tasks • Initiate and participate in activities that promote participation and quality of life • Work with social documentation and implementation plans to ensure quality, continuity, and development • Perform delegated tasks in accordance with the Health and Medical Care Act Working hours are scheduled during day, evening, weekends, and on-call nights. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree from the Care and Health Program, support assistant training, or the Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or educational work. The education requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the functional disability area comprising at least 200 vocational upper secondary credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination that equals at least four full-time study terms. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with functional disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires you to have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet this requirement, you may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit. As a person, you are collaboration-oriented and contribute to a good work environment. You have a professional and respectful approach and are change-oriented, with the ability to adapt to new circumstances. You are stable and secure, remain calm in challenging situations, and contribute to structure and security in the operation. Meritorious Experience We would appreciate if you have previous experience working with challenging behavior and low-arousal approaches. It is also meritorious if you have experience handling situations that may involve threats and violence, as well as experience working independently and in solo work.
