About the job
As a support assistant, you put the individual's needs, abilities, and interests at the center and support users in their daily lives and in their right to self-determination. Together with the users, you work to provide the best possible conditions for an independent life with high quality of life. You work based on individually created implementation plans.
We will use the methods An Independent Life (ESL), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and low-arousal approaches (LAB). The work includes social documentation and collaboration with both internal and external parties who are key people in the user's life.
We want to create teams where employees' strengths are utilized appropriately and contribute to a work environment with a relaxed atmosphere where discussions are solution-focused. You are interested in shaping our operations and can quickly adapt to new or changed circumstances in your work. You have the ability to express yourself well both verbally and in writing, as documentation is part of your work.
The work will be scheduled for day shifts, evening shifts, and weekend duties. We work with scheduling in Multiaccess. We also work with ARP and resource sessions.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree from the Healthcare and Care Program, support assistant training, or the Children and Recreation Program with a focus on social or educational work. The education requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability services field covering at least 200 vocational credits, 120 university credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four full-time semesters of study. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
You need to have extensive experience working with people with mental and neuropsychiatric variations. Communication and social documentation are important parts of the work, so you need to master the Swedish language in speech and writing, which requires passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit.
If you have experience and knowledge of ESL, MI, and low-arousal approaches, these are considered meritorious.
