About the Workplace
We are now seeking a support assistant for Kärrvägens group home located in Nol. The group home consists of two residential units under the same roof. The residents have decisions under the LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and our work is based on values permeated by respect for each individual's self-determination, integrity, and right to a meaningful life.
At the unit, we work with clarifying pedagogy, low-affective approaches, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) to strengthen each individual's participation and independence in daily life. We share a common focus on development and quality.
Job Responsibilities
We are now seeking a support assistant who wants to contribute to our operations.
As a support assistant, you will work in close contact with residents and, together with your colleagues, implement support measures according to LSS decisions. You therefore need to be well familiar with LSS legislation.
The residents have various functional variations, so you should have knowledge and experience with low-affective approaches and experience working with people on the autism spectrum. Your main task is to make daily life meaningful, understandable, and manageable for our residents and ensure they can live a life like everyone else. The role includes providing residents with support in developing goals based on their implementation plans to increase residents' independence. You need to feel confident with social documentation and have experience working with implementation plans.
We are looking for someone who feels secure and stable in your professional role and has experience with this target group.
In the role, it is important that you take responsibility for your tasks, plan, organize, and can prioritize your work. The ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, is required as documentation is part of the work.
The position involves day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a positive view of people and good values. You should have the ability to build good relationships and understand another person's situation, wishes, and needs in order to work from a resident perspective and place the individual's needs at the center. Having a respectful approach to colleagues and residents is self-evident for you.
Merits for the position include knowledge of the documentation program Treserva, knowledge of low-affective approaches, and work experience with the autism spectrum. We place great importance on personal qualities and are looking for someone who is organized, flexible, and responsible. You have an unpretentious approach, good collaboration skills, and a desire to continuously develop in your professional role.
You must have completed a nursing care program or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
Does this sound exciting? Are you the person we are looking for on our team? Then you are warmly welcome to submit your application to us!
