About the Job We are looking for you to be part of our work team where we leverage each other's knowledge, differences, and strengths. At Hultåsens boende, you will join a work group with positive and engaged colleagues who have a strong focus on service users. Together we make a difference, and our work is important for people who need individual support in their daily lives. Hultåsens boende with special services is located by beautiful Askimsviken with proximity to beach, sea, and green areas. Eight people live here, and the target group is individuals with intellectual disabilities. If you are interested in meaningful work where you support people in their daily living and help them maintain a meaningful existence, you are the right person for this position. We offer stimulating and varied work where you, together with the unit manager, educator/methods developer, and work team, participate in planning and developing the operations. We also provide opportunities for further training. In your role as a support assistant, you will work with varying tasks including educational support in daily life, helping residents participate in community life and leisure activities. Support at home such as laundry, cleaning, and cooking is performed as much as possible together with the residents. You work motivationally and create conditions for structure, participation, and self-determination based on each person's abilities. You will be the primary contact person for one resident. This involves collaborating with staff, family members, and external contacts around the service user, as well as actively following up on implementation plans, done with the resident's participation. Working hours include day shifts, evening shifts, alternating weekends, and on-call nights. About You We seek someone with a degree from the Healthcare and Care Program, support assistant training, or the Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or educational work. The educational requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational college credits, 120 university credits, or a combination equaling at least four full-time semesters. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other training deemed equivalent by the employer. Requirements for the Position: • Experience with equivalent work within LSS. • Knowledge of social documentation and developing implementation plans. • Strong skills in reading, speaking, and writing Swedish. • Experience working with low-affective interaction and/or clarifying pedagogy. Meritorious: • Knowledge of IBIC (Individual's Needs in Focus) • ESL (an independent life) • MI (motivational interviewing) • AAC (alternative and augmentative communication) You take great responsibility for your and shared work tasks with the operation's/service users' best interests in focus. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You adapt easily to changed conditions and new information. You have the ability to communicate information and ideas, both verbally and in writing. You have the ability to work together with others to complete tasks and achieve goals. Communication is an important part of the work with colleagues, service users, and others you encounter in your professional role as a support assistant.
