About the job Do you want to make a difference as a support assistant for people living in housing with special services? We are looking for a new colleague who wants to provide support in daily life, both at home and in the community. Tunnlandsgatan's residence offers 10 places for adults aged 18-65 with acquired brain injuries and mental health challenges. The work includes lifting techniques, personal care, activities, cooking, cleaning, and collaboration with healthcare. You will also encourage leisure activities and create conditions for enriching free time based on residents' interests. The goal is for those living here to receive individually tailored support to live as independent a life as possible while promoting health, rehabilitation, and leisure activities. At Tunnlandsgatan, we work based on residents' individual needs, with a focus on care, rehabilitation, and motivational work. The target group consists of people with acquired brain injuries, as well as people with mental health challenges and NPF diagnoses, which means staff must be responsive and able to adapt their communication. The work also involves collaboration with guardians, social workers, relatives, and healthcare staff, as well as social documentation and medication management according to delegation. By following implementation plans, we ensure that residents' needs remain in focus. We also share various ombudsman roles and serve as contact persons. We value a rehabilitative and motivating approach, as well as the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams. To succeed in the role, you need to have empathy, respect, and a genuine interest in seeing the person behind the disability, and you must understand your mission to support and motivate the resident based on their abilities and circumstances. Working hours are scheduled for day and evening shifts, as well as weekends. We use Time Care Planning for flexible and operationally adapted schedules. About you We are looking for someone with a degree from the Care and Service Program, Support Assistant training, or Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or educational work. The education requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization within the disability field comprising at least 200 YH credits, 120 university credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. If you are a trained assistant nurse, that is a merit. Requirements for the position include documented previous experience working in care and service. You have experience with neuropsychiatric disabilities, care, working with people with acquired brain injuries and/or mental health challenges. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. If you do not meet the language requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test administrator EducateIt.
