Registercentrumorganisationen (RCO) Västra Götaland is an operation under the Corporate Staff for Digitalization and has primarily a national mission focused on national quality registers in healthcare. The registers collect national data on patients and treatments. Data from the quality registers form the basis for follow-up and development and quality work in healthcare. Data from the quality registers is also used in registry research, where Sweden is a world leader. RCO assists the registers with expertise primarily in the areas of IT, statistics, and development management. We are now looking for a statistician with programming focus who wants to contribute to saving lives and achieving equitable health through national quality registers in healthcare. Your Assignment As a statistician with programming focus, you will become part of Registercentrum Västra Götaland's statistics unit, which consists of approximately twenty employees with high expertise in statistics, analysis, and data-driven business development. Your primary task is to provide statistics support and advice in the management and development of quality registers. The role includes developing efficient data and analysis workflows and ensuring good code structure, participating in and driving development projects, and representing RCO Västra Götaland in various external and internal contexts. You work in an agile, cross-functional team together with statisticians, system developers, analysts, and other specialists within RCO Västra Götaland. Work is conducted in close dialogue with healthcare professionals, researchers, and representatives of quality registers. What Can We Offer You? To Succeed in the Role You Need: Relevant university education with a focus on statistics, mathematics, or equivalent. Good programming skills, preferably in R, Python, or similar languages. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have experience with: Working with register data, health data, or other complex analysis activities. Working with agile methods and practices. Working with the Git version control system. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
