About the Role
Do you want a meaningful job where you can make a real difference for both society and the energy transition? With us, you are part of a socially important operation with exciting projects, cutting-edge technology, and colleagues who value each other.
We are now seeking several experienced Station Technicians who want to be part of building the maintenance operations of the future!
We are facing one of Vattenfall Eldistribution's largest investments ever – a historic consolidation to build stronger, more resilient, and completely independent capabilities within maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. At a time when the world is making increasingly higher demands on robustness and durability, we are taking decisive steps to ensure an electricity grid that can handle difficult conditions and deliver when needed most.
Responsibilities and Tasks
As a Station Technician, you play a central role in ensuring that our electrical power facilities from 0.4 up to 400 kV are safe, accessible, and equipped for future energy needs. In this role, you get varied and practical field work where you combine advanced technical problem-solving with careful digital documentation. Together with colleagues in operations, maintenance, and projects, you contribute to an electricity grid with high operational reliability and quality, where your technical expertise makes a real difference in everyday life, both for our facilities and society.
Your main tasks include:
Perform service, operation, maintenance, construction, and troubleshooting in stations and electrical power facilities
Conduct rounds, inspections, and checks according to established maintenance programs and report deviations
Work according to ESA, EBR, and applicable safety procedures, and participate in risk assessments and work preparations
Perform maintenance, repairs, and connections on switchgear equipment, such as transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, tap changers, battery systems, and work with thermography and earth resistance testing, etc.
Minor rebuilds and repairs may be included in the role
Document completed work and manage work orders in our digital systems
Contribute to developing work methods and procedures for increased safety and quality
The role involves a strong focus on safety, quality, progress, and commitment. Safety is the guiding star in everything we do; in a risk-filled environment, we look after each other and create security together.
Work is performed on assignment from the maintenance manager. Travel within the area and on-call duty service may be a natural part of the assignment.
Job Requirements
We are looking for someone with good technical understanding, strong safety awareness, and interest in working with complex electrical power facilities. You are organized, thorough, and take responsibility for both quality and safety in your work.
We would like you to have:
Upper secondary education in electrical power/electrical work or equivalent vocational training
Experience as a station technician, electrical power technician, distribution electrician, industrial electrician, or similar
Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
Class B driver's license
It is an advantage if you have good ability to read drawings, electrical diagrams, and technical documentation, as well as a basic understanding of control, protection, and monitoring systems.
