We are now looking for several experienced Station Technicians who want to be part of building the maintenance operations of the future! We are facing one of Vattenfall Eldistribution's largest initiatives ever – a historic effort to build stronger, more resilient, and completely independent capability in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. At a time when the outside world places ever-higher demands on robustness and durability, we are taking decisive steps to ensure an electricity grid that can handle difficult conditions and delivers when needed most. Responsibilities and Tasks As a Station Technician, you have a central role in ensuring that our electrical installations from 0.4 to 400 kV are safe, accessible, and equipped for future energy needs. In this role, you get varied and practical work in the field, where you combine advanced technical problem-solving with careful digital documentation. Together with colleagues in operations, maintenance, and projects, you contribute to an electricity grid with high operational reliability and quality, where your technical expertise makes a real difference in daily operations, both for our installations and society. Your main tasks include: - Performing service, operations, maintenance, construction, and troubleshooting in stations and electrical installations - Conducting rounds, inspections, and checks according to established maintenance programs and reporting deviations - Working in accordance with ESA, EBR, and applicable safety procedures, as well as participating in risk assessments and work preparations - Performing maintenance, repairs, and switchgear operations on electrical apparatus such as transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, tap changers, battery systems, as well as thermography work and grounding inspections, etc. - Minor modifications and fault remediation may be part of the role - Documenting completed work and managing work orders in our digital systems - Contributing to developing working methods and procedures for increased safety and quality The role places great emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and commitment. Safety is the guiding principle in everything we do; in a high-risk environment, we take care of each other and create security together. The work is performed on assignment from the maintenance manager. Travel within the area and on-call service may be a natural part of the assignment. Requirements Specification We are looking for someone with good technical understanding, strong safety awareness, and interest in working with complex electrical installations. You are structured, thorough, and take responsibility for both quality and safety in your work. We would like to see that you have: - High school education in electrical power/electricity or equivalent vocational education - Experience as a station technician, electrical technician, distribution electrician, industrial electrician, or similar - Fluent Swedish, spoken and written - Class B driver's license It is advantageous if you have good ability to read drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation, as well as a basic understanding of control, protection, and monitoring systems.
