We are now seeking several experienced Station Technicians who want to help build the maintenance operations of the future! We are facing one of Vattenfall Eldistribution's largest investments ever – a historic consolidation of efforts to build stronger, more resilient, and entirely in-house capability in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. At a time when the world is placing ever-higher demands on robustness and resilience, we are taking decisive steps to ensure a power grid that can handle difficult conditions and delivers when needed most. Responsibilities and Tasks As a Station Technician, you play a central role in ensuring that our electrical installations from 0.4 to 400 kV are safe, accessible, and equipped for future energy needs. In this role, you will have varied and practical fieldwork, combining advanced technical problem-solving with careful digital documentation. Together with colleagues in operations, maintenance, and projects, you contribute to a power grid with high operational reliability and quality, where your technical expertise makes a real difference in daily operations, both for our installations and society. Your main tasks include: Performing service, operations, maintenance, construction, and troubleshooting in stations and electrical installations Conducting rounds, inspections, and checks according to established maintenance programs and reporting deviations Working according to ESA, EBR, and applicable safety procedures, and participating in risk assessments and work planning Performing maintenance, repairs, and switching operations on switchgear equipment, such as transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, load tap changers, battery systems, as well as thermography work and grounding resistance tests, etc. Minor modifications and fault corrections may be included in the role Documenting completed work and managing work orders in our digital systems Contributing to the development of working methods and procedures for increased safety and quality The role involves a strong focus on safety, quality, progress, and commitment. Safety is the guiding star in everything we do; in a risk-filled environment, we look after each other and create security together. Work is performed on assignment from a maintenance manager. Travel within the area and on-call duty may be a natural part of the assignment. Requirements Specification We are looking for someone with good technical understanding, strong safety awareness, and interest in working with complex electrical installations. You are structured, thorough, and take responsibility for both quality and safety in your work. We would like you to have: Upper secondary education in electrical power/electrical work or equivalent vocational education Experience as a station technician, electrical technician, distribution electrician, industrial electrician, or similar Fluent Swedish in speech and writing Driver's license category B It is advantageous if you have good ability to read drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation, as well as basic understanding of control, protection, and monitoring systems.
