As a Switchyard Engineer, you are offered one of Sweden's most important jobs, in which you will contribute daily to Sweden's electricity supply. We need you to succeed in our societally important mission to electrify Sweden. About the position As a Switchyard Engineer, you serve as a technical specialist in our facility projects. You belong to the Switchyard and Primary Equipment unit, which is responsible for the technical design of the switchyard and provides support to the operations unit. Together with your colleagues, you have broad technical responsibility that includes switchyard design and requirements specification as well as responsibility for primary equipment. The unit consists of a total of 12 dedicated and competent technical specialists, nine of whom work as Switchyard Engineers. We are a client organization and build our stations on turnkey contracts. In your daily work, you work with requirements specification and follow-up in our facility projects. This includes ensuring that the contractor who designs and builds the switchyard follows and applies our technical guidelines. The role also includes: Participating in investigations regarding station/switchyard placement, preparing documents such as station diagrams, layouts, sections, switchyard data, line span calculations, and text for preliminary studies Preparing tender documents for station procurement and evaluating bids Acting as requirements specifier and reviewer for our suppliers in this field Reviewing contractor documents such as layouts, sections, calculations, etc. Conducting technical meetings You contribute to further developing our technical guidelines, that is, our technical requirements for switchyard design. You also contribute to business development by standardizing and streamlining work for switchyard engineers and contractors. Furthermore, you support the operations organization on technical matters. We are looking for you who have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience that the agency deems equivalent for the role. You also have: At least five years of experience with requirements specification and design of switchyards at 130 kV Experience working in project form Basic knowledge of primary equipment at minimum 130 kV Good knowledge of CAD Good knowledge of Swedish and English Valid driver's license (category B) Meritorious Good knowledge of TR01-01 and relevant standards for switchyard design Knowledge of steel construction and its manufacturing requirements in accordance with 1090 Knowledge of GT-data calculation software Good to know The position is located in Sundbyberg (Stockholm), Gothenburg, Västerås, Luleå, Sundsvall, or Sollefteå.
