What you can expect from the position As Assistant Store Manager, you are the Store Manager's right hand. You have personnel responsibility for the store's employees and have overall responsibility for daily operations. You coach and lead employees through your presence in the store so that all customers receive optimal customer service and leave Biltema with a positive experience. Through engaging and inspiring leadership, you develop Department Managers and other employees. You follow up on sales and come up with creative ideas to showcase our large range of products. You are well versed in store operations and have ultimate responsibility for the store when the Store Manager is not present. This includes, among other things, having ultimate responsibility for the work environment and ensuring together with other employees that you have a safe working environment. You participate in planning and create schedules based on activities and events. You enjoy sharing your expertise and act as a sounding board for both the Store Manager and other employees. As Assistant Store Manager, you are part of the store's management team and report to the Store Manager. The position is a permanent employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period. Employment is full-time, 40 hours/week. What we expect from you We are looking for someone who is results-oriented and has a high service awareness. As a person, you have the ability to motivate, coach and inspire staff through your pedagogical communication and leadership style. You find it easy to create a good atmosphere and always ensure that your employees are ready to perform at their best. By seeing the entire sales cycle from planning and merchandise receipt to marketing and sales, you always ensure that you are solution-oriented and creative in situations that may arise. We see that you have at least 2-3 years of experience in similar management positions in retail. This means you feel confident in your leadership and comfortable with the agreements and regulations that apply to retail.
