As an Assistant Sales Manager with us, you will be responsible for overseeing the produce department, including merchandise management, finances, operations, purchasing, product development, and customer inspiration, working together with the Sales Manager for Produce.
Job Responsibilities:
You will, in consultation with the Sales Manager for Produce, oversee the daily operations of the produce department. Every day, every week, you will inspire customers with assortment, inspiration, color displays, seasonal products, and local suppliers within the produce category.
The produce department is, from the customer's perspective, the most important department in the store.
An important part of the work is working with effective communication, price perception, product experience, and creating a unified structure in the department. You will contribute to and fulfill the department's planning, set and follow routines, manage sales, plan sales activities, and maintain sales momentum in the department.
You will handle orders and campaigns when the Sales Manager is not present.
In the position, you will assist the Sales Manager in working toward the established budget.
Your work also includes helping with team picking in all departments in the store and leading the team when they pick in your department when the Sales Manager is not present.
The majority of the position involves merchandise picking, with approximately 80% picking and 20% administrative work. The position also includes weekend work.

Qualifications:
Experience in a leadership position in grocery retail
Good knowledge of store economics
You are organized and have good quality awareness.
The Assistant Sales Manager reports to the Sales Manager for the department.
This is a full-time position (100%).
Start date is immediate or by agreement.
Salary by agreement.
