Make a difference. Every day. The Memory Disorders Care Unit (VE) is a specialist facility offering assessment and treatment of acquired cognitive impairment in both elderly and younger patients. The unit has a well-developed outpatient service including both clinic operations and a mobile outpatient team. There is also a unit for clinical drug trials. Internationally renowned research conducted here has strong clinical connections and permeates the entire operation. We work in close collaboration with primary care, municipalities, and other specialist units within Skåne University Hospital (Sus) as well as with other memory clinics in the region. Our operation is a highly dynamic and expanding workplace. Here, the opportunity to combine research and clinical work is taken for granted. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES There is no specialty in cognitive medicine, so within the operation, doctors work with different base specialties such as neurology, geriatrics, and psychiatry. We are now announcing an ST-block with basic specialization in neurology. The ST-block is customized with a large part of the placement within neurological operations at Sus and begins with an extended placement within the Memory Disorders Care Unit. We assume that you are interested in specializing in the field of cognitive diseases. We can guarantee you a varied position with excellent conditions for broad training, participation in development projects, quality work, and research. You will receive an individual training plan and a supervisor in accordance with established guidelines for the specialty. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a licensed physician with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have Swedish language skills at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Ongoing relevant research in neurodegenerative diseases is highly meritious. Previous clinical experience in the field is also meritious. As a person, you have initiative and a strong interest in development and learning. You value good collaboration and contribute to this by sharing your knowledge and experiences.
