Inpatient care consists of a department divided into two sections: one focused on stroke/neurology and internal medicine, and another focused on cardiology and internal medicine. In 2026, we are also in the startup phase of an acute care unit with integrated emergency medicine. The emergency department is open 24/7. JOB DUTIES As an ST physician in internal medicine with us, you will receive developmental work with a good opportunity to follow up with your patients. You will work in the Medical Clinic's inpatient departments, emergency department, specialist outpatient clinics, and have the opportunity to work under supervision in the dialysis unit, day care, and clinical physiology – including ECG conversions, exercise tests, and echocardiography. We have close collaboration with other clinics. You will carry out most of your specialist service in internal medicine in Ljungby but also a smaller portion at Växjö Hospital. Training takes place within the framework of the ST program with individual supervision and development of a personally tailored ST contract. You have access to a generous training budget that enables further education and participation in congresses. In addition, Region Kronoberg has its own research and development center with several researchers. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed physician and have completed AT or BT service. As a person, you need to have good communication skills, be responsible, structured, and attentive. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, at least corresponding to C1 level. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
