Medicine and Geriatrics Clinic, Värnamo Hospital Welcome to the Medicine and Geriatrics Clinic in Värnamo! We now have an opportunity for you to complete your specialist training (ST) in internal medicine with us. The Role of ST Doctor You will work as an ST doctor across all of our care units as well as in the emergency department. This gives you broad and stimulating experience. On-call duties as primary on-call are included. We currently have 11 ST doctors, 4 soon-to-be specialists, and 21 specialist doctors working together with the clinic's approximately 220 employees in total. Together with this great team, you will make a difference! The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date by agreement. Our three care units, as well as outpatient clinic, day care, and dialysis, handle everything from stroke care to endocrinology, gastroenterology, geriatrics, hematology, cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, and nephrology – in other words, a broad spectrum of specialties that makes every day both developmental and rewarding. Your Profile We are looking for someone ready to start their ST, meaning either at the end of your general training (AT) or at the end of your basic training (BT). It is desirable that you have previous experience working at a medicine clinic, but most importantly, we see that you have a genuine interest in internal medicine and that you value teamwork highly. For you to thrive with us, we see that you are confident and stable with a good ability to separate the personal from the professional. You are secure in your knowledge and competence, dare to make your own decisions, and take responsibility for your work tasks. Since the work involves a lot of collaboration with other colleagues, we see that you work well with other people. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Our Offer to You As an ST doctor, we offer you broad training in internal medicine, which includes individual supervision and knowledge transfer as a natural part of the work. You participate and get an active role in the development of our treatment methods and in our quality work. Training is planned together with your supervisor, and parts may be conducted at a university clinic, but the main placement is at Värnamo Hospital. Region Jönköping County is responsible for providing courses within all a- and b-objectives according to the ST-ab concept. Supervisor training for both supervisors and ST doctors is included in the course. During ST-ab, you will also have the opportunity to conduct your own quality and development work.
