Within our operations is Sweden's third largest psychiatric emergency department where resident physicians are responsible for primary on-call duties, a broad basic range of outpatient clinics and inpatient care, as well as several subspecialized units including a bipolar disorder clinic, a unit for newly diagnosed psychosis, and an eating disorder clinic. Within the operational area there is also one of Sweden's largest regions for addiction medicine. Addiction Center Malmö, in addition to three inpatient wards and numerous outpatient clinics, also has its own emergency department where patients with severe symptoms resulting from substance abuse can turn. We also have an active professor and several doctorate-holding colleagues with us. WORK TASKS The structure of the positions is planned in consultation with the ST chief, study director, and supervisor. The content follows the objective description established to achieve specialist competence in adult psychiatry. Many of our resident physicians engage in research, teaching, and quality improvement work. Clinical service under supervision, structured supervisory meetings, courses and seminars to achieve the objectives of the ST program are essential. Competency development is also offered through regular teaching at ST seminars, group clinical supervision, and returning activities where you have the opportunity to work with the same patient group and develop your clinical skills. Completed Swedish AT or BT is a requirement to apply for the position. Swedish language skills at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. If you have experience in adult and/or child psychiatry, this is a merit. We would like to see that you have experience or interest in research. You who apply have good communication skills and can convey knowledge in a clear and pedagogical manner and involve the patient in their care.
