Our Operations The Division of Hematology and Tumor Diseases is located in the new healthcare building, entrance 100/101 at Dag Hammarskjölds väg. The operations feature modern facilities with single rooms, new information and communication technology systems, and separate professional and public flows. The new building is equipped with the latest medical technology, for example Sweden's first MR-linac that combines a linear accelerator with diagnostic imaging. The new construction gives us new opportunities to co-locate the Division of Hematology and Tumor Diseases together with the Division of Medical Imaging and Functional Medicine, which creates new collaboration opportunities with great potential benefit for patients. Your Assignment As an ST resident physician in oncology, you will work in the oncology section within the Division of Hematology and Tumor Diseases. The work includes evaluation, treatment, and follow-up of patients with cancer in both outpatient and inpatient care. You will also participate in work at the division's radiation therapy department. On-call service is a natural and integral part of the position. ST residency is planned and monitored together with your supervisor and study director based on the curriculum and an individual education plan. With proximity to the university, you have the opportunity to participate in research and development within your field. Even though the hospital is large, the distance between our different specialty areas is never far. You will also have the opportunity to develop through stimulating interactions with colleagues and patients and through supervision of medical students. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone with Swedish medical licensure who wants to specialize in oncology with us. You have clinical experience from oncology operations. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to work in a structured and patient-safe manner and collaborate well in multiprofessional teams. You communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and respectfully with patients, family members, and colleagues. You take responsibility for your tasks, seek support when the situation requires it, and can make difficult decisions. You should be able to contribute to the division's research and development work. Experience in research, teaching, or improvement work is meritorious.
