Your Workplace The Department of Internal Medicine in Karlstad includes the specialties of pulmonology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, hematology, rheumatology, and geriatrics. The Heart Clinic and Kidney Clinic are operated as separate units. We are also building a new internal medicine ward. To meet the growing needs and future development of our operations, we are now seeking additional staff members who want to contribute to our continued growth and development. The department of internal medicine is characterized by strong cohesion, short decision-making paths, and a positive educational climate. Your Responsibilities You will receive comprehensive and high-quality internal medicine training covering the full spectrum of internal medicine. As a specialist doctor, you will work a varied schedule that includes ward work, on-call duty, outpatient clinic, and rotations. You will develop a clear individual training plan tailored to your goals and the clinic's needs. In addition to the specialty-specific program, you will participate in Region Värmland's well-regarded courses (Ethics, Law, and Leadership), training that provides you with tools to grow both professionally and personally. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for someone who has: Swedish medical license with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare by the start date. Interest in specializing in internal medicine. Good collaboration skills and a solution-oriented approach. Good knowledge of Swedish at a minimum of C1 level. A doctoral degree and active research are advantageous but not required. As a person, you have good maturity and are confident in yourself, which enables you to handle different situations with sound judgment and respect. You are flexible and comfortable with the fact that conditions in daily life can change quickly. Collaboration is a natural part of your work approach, and you contribute to a positive work environment. Through your empathetic ability, you treat colleagues and patients with attentiveness, while working in a structured and organized manner.
