Primary Care Center Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, Vårdcentum Finspång, Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and on-call centers in the evenings and weekends, and the General Medicine Education Center. We provide broad primary care where we offer care to everyone throughout their entire lives; newborns, children, youth, adults, elderly, and patients in end-of-life care.

Region Östergötland's specialist training in general medicine is organized by the General Medicine Education Center (AMC), where study directors and education secretaries coordinate side training, arrange courses and training, and participate in developing the ST-doctor's education plan. Job Description
As an ST-doctor you work with your own patient list. You meet patients of all ages at your own practice or our on-call clinic. During your time at the health center, you will have a period where you are responsible for care facilities and work at the child health clinic. You will mentor students, conduct development and research work. You work weekdays and daytime primarily, and later in your specialist training you will work on-call shifts in evenings, weekends, and nights.
Work Team
Vårdcentralen Boxholm is a smaller health center in a rural area with approximately 4,800 registered patients and a staff of approximately 23 employees. At the health center, we create security for citizens together by making healthcare accessible nearby. The goal is to be accessible and meet citizens with a patient-centered approach and with high expertise. We work together as a team with the patient as a co-creator. Here we offer varied and stimulating work in a workplace with good atmosphere, great teamwork, where we help each other with the patient as a co-creator. The health center handles a wide variety of medical issues, from acute patients to elderly care and child health clinics based on a patient-centered approach. The health center has district doctors, specialist doctors, an ongoing ST-doctor, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, social worker, and health care administrators.
About You
You are a licensed physician and hold a medical license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen), and have Swedish language skills equivalent to documented level C1, as you need to be able to communicate with patients, family members, and colleagues without difficulty. If you have not completed AT or do not have approved basic competence according to BT, there is the possibility to complete BT during the first year of employment.
You have good collaboration skills and can plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You have good judgment and communicate clearly. We want you to be humble and enjoy working in a team. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
For this position, we are looking for someone who is flexible. Flexibility with us means being able to adapt to the current situation and change focus, which is essential as unforeseen events occur daily.
We work closely together and need good communication to successfully solve the tasks we encounter in our daily work. Therefore, this position suits you if you enjoy collaboration and are responsive and communicative with both colleagues, patients, and family members.
