We are looking for someone who wants to be part of SSAB Luleå's fire safety team and contribute to fulfilling the company's goal of becoming the world's safest steel company. As a technician in the fire and rescue service, you will be part of a team of 7 people who work in various roles in a supporting, preventive, and operational capacity with fire safety, risk management, and rescue services at SSAB Luleå. The team you work with is responsible, among other things, for the operation's internal fire and rescue service, maintenance of fire alarms and extinguishing systems, and supports the operation's systematic risk management work. As a technician at SSAB Fire and Rescue, you will, together with one of your colleagues, have the role of FIP (First Responder) in the internal rescue team, which means you are the first resource on site during daytime for all fire or accident alarms within the industrial area. In your role, you will also support the facilities technician and fire safety coordinator in technical and preventive fire safety work. You will also be a support to the fire safety manager where you help with planning and conducting exercises for the internal rescue team. The role also includes maintenance and inspection of vehicles and equipment at the fire station. Your main areas of responsibility: First Responder. Inspection/maintenance of equipment. Participate in testing/inspection of fire alarm and gas suppression systems. Lead or support internal exercises. Plan and follow up on training activities for the internal rescue team. About you: Education in fire and rescue services. Protection Against Accidents, Basic Training for Emergency Personnel on Standby (GRIB) or equivalent. Preferably experience with preventive and technical fire safety work. Alternatively, previous work experience deemed equivalent. Your personal qualities are of great importance. You are outgoing, positive, and responsive with a good ability to collaborate. B driver's license is required. C driver's license is desirable.
