We are looking for an energy engineer who wants to drive energy initiatives in an industry facing major transformations. As part of our team, you will work closely with operations and contribute specialized expertise in energy management, with a focus on energy efficiency, energy management systems, and EU ETS-related matters. About the position As an energy engineer, you will be part of the Operations Development department, Environment section, where you work closely with operations on both operational and strategic energy matters. The section functions as specialized support to operations in environmental and energy matters and continuously works to develop and improve operations' energy and environmental performance and ensure compliance with legal requirements and other commitments. In this role, you will work broadly within the energy field, from monitoring, analysis, and reporting to investigations and support in ongoing projects and change initiatives. As the operations' specialist in energy matters, you will lead the internal energy group and drive work on energy efficiency, energy audits, energy management plans, and energy management systems in close collaboration with production. You will also monitor developments in legislation and other requirements within the energy field and support operations in implementing these in practice. The role also includes responsibility for matters related to EU ETS and free allocation of emission allowances. You will work with monitoring, analysis, and reporting and ensure that operations has the necessary documentation and processes to comply with applicable regulations. You will also collaborate with production, authorities, and external verifiers on matters concerning emissions trading and reporting. Your main responsibilities • Support line management with specialized expertise in energy matters. • Drive operations' energy initiatives and lead the internal energy group. • Lead work on energy audits, energy management plans, and energy efficiency in collaboration with operations. • Participate as an expert in projects. • Monitor and inform about changes in legislation, regulatory requirements, and other relevant regulations within the energy field. • Oversee monitoring, analysis, calculations, and reporting within the energy field. • Be responsible for operations' work with EU ETS and free allocation of emission allowances. • Initiate and drive investigations within the energy field. • Contribute to development of working methods and governance within the energy field. About you • Relevant university or engineering degree in energy or equivalent. • Experience with energy-related work. • Knowledge of energy efficiency, energy audits, and energy management systems. • Strong analytical skills and experience with monitoring, analysis, and reporting. • Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, such as production, authorities, and verifiers. • Ability to work independently and create good collaborations with various parts of operations to advance energy initiatives. • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
