Linguistics Student Sought for Language Review of Legal Texts

Are you studying linguistics or language science and want to use your language skills working with legal texts? We are looking for a meticulous student for our language review team for a part-time position. You don't need to have legal background knowledge, but an interest in law and social issues is a merit. About the Role As a linguist at JP Infonet, you will process and proofread legal texts written by some of Sweden's leading legal experts. Your task is to ensure that the texts maintain high linguistic quality and are clear and accessible to the reader. You don't need any legal background knowledge, but you should be interested in social issues and enjoy diving into new, complex topics. We want you to be comfortable handling information-dense text and have the ability to see how the text can become more accessible. The work also includes, for example, correcting references in accordance with our established procedures. The employment is based on need and working hours may vary. We will agree on a start date and the scope of work based on the organization's needs and your studies. About You You are studying linguistics or language science, preferably in the later part of your education. You have experience working with text, for example through proofreading or language review. You work efficiently and carefully and are familiar with working in Microsoft Word. About Us JP Infonet is a Swedish-owned information and knowledge company with offices in Gamla stan in Stockholm and Helsingborg. Together we are approximately 80 employees, of which about half are lawyers. JP Infonet offers digital information services, training, advice and support to professionals who need law in their work. For over twenty years, our services have supported, among others, government agencies, municipalities, courts and companies. We continuously develop our digital services and provide current legal knowledge through environmental monitoring, analyses, law commentaries and much more.
