North Sámi Language Support Specialist for Preschool Vilhelmina Municipality is seeking language support specialists for our preschools. We offer a unique opportunity to contribute to preserving and developing the Sámi language and culture for future generations, while working in a creative and developmental environment alongside competent colleagues. Your Role As a Sámi language support specialist with us, you actively contribute to strengthening children's linguistic and cultural identity. You work in accordance with the preschool curriculum and lay the foundation for children's understanding of different languages and cultures, with a focus on the Sámi language and culture. Examples of tasks: Support children in developing the North Sámi language through planning, teaching, and documentation. Collaborate with the team to create a safe and stimulating environment where children's linguistic and cultural development is central. Be an inspiring and trustworthy role model for both children and colleagues. We strive for continuity in the work, but are flexible and can adapt to your needs, from a few work shifts per month to several shifts per week, based on agreement. Qualifications We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to children's development and understanding of language and culture. We see that you: Have knowledge of North Sámi and/or South Sámi Experience working in preschool or education is a merit Speak and write Swedish fluently Are creative and want to develop Sámi activities with the child at the center Great weight is placed on personal suitability. Terms According to the Education Act, an extract from the police's criminal record must be presented by persons before they are employed in preschool activities, school, and school childcare.
