Your New Job Jönköping Municipality is undertaking a unique initiative on language development in our preschools and primary schools. Working as a language pedagogue at one of the 15 primary schools that have received language pedagogue positions is part of this initiative. As a language pedagogue, based on the school's needs and student results, you will work in collaboration to develop instruction in preschool class, grade 1, and after-school care. You will work from a centrally developed assignment description and develop your school-specific assignment together with the principal. Your work includes leading and supporting collegial development processes based on research and proven experience to increase the school unit's expertise in language, reading, and writing development. You will also support students in preschool class and grade 1 at the group level in their language, reading, and writing development and carry out initiatives together with the teaching team. Based on a language plan developed within the municipality, you will ensure that instruction in preschool class and grade 1 is grounded in scientific evidence and proven experience. The school area consists of Ljungarum School F-6 and Strömsberg School F-3. In total, the Ljungarum School Area has approximately 350 students and a staff of approximately 60 people. Ljungarum School has approximately 250 students in grades F-6. Ljungarum School F-6 also has a special program in the form of communication classes. We see that you have experience with language development work and driving development projects as part of systematic quality work. You have experience improving student academic results and a strong interest in developing instruction. You have strong analytical abilities, the courage to act to contribute to change, can structure your work efficiently, and can drive your work forward independently. As a person, you have a talent for creating trusting relationships. Good to Know The language pedagogue position is a permanent employment with vacation benefits and flexible working hours within the education department of Jönköping Municipality.
