Your Assignment
As an analyst, you will be part of a unit within the Signals Intelligence Department. The department is responsible for collection of raw material, processing and analysis, and delivers intelligence reports and other services to the agency's clients.
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the collection of information and data within a designated production area. You will process, analyze and draw conclusions, documenting these in intelligence reports. The work is influenced by technological development, which requires you to be able to adapt your working methods accordingly. You will also apply methods for collection and adapt production according to clients' needs. You will be part of a working group and have contact with clients and cooperation partners, and in time also manage partner contacts. The position involves both individual work and teamwork.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Processing information volumes
- Target development
- Identifying relevant intelligence information
- Analyzing and producing reports in consultation with colleagues
Furthermore, you will represent the agency to clients and partners, and orally present and account for the materials that have been prepared. Business travel will occur.

We are looking for someone who has:
- An academic degree in, for example, political science, law, economics, or another relevant field and/or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience
- Experience processing and analyzing large amounts of data
- Experience with report writing
- Good computer skills
- Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Good reading and listening comprehension in Russian
We consider it advantageous if you have:
- A degree in journalism
- Knowledge of/worked/studied in societies and/or neighboring regions where Russian is spoken
- Experience with translations
- Experience with security, foreign, or defense policy
- Produced materials/reports within a government agency or investigative activity
- Work experience from the Swedish Armed Forces, the Government Offices, the Security Police, the Police, a ministry, another government agency, or a security/intelligence service
- Experience in investigative journalism

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, approximately 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security classification. Before employment, you will undergo security vetting in accordance with the Security Protection Act. Employment includes an obligation to be placed on war mobilization lists.
