Your Mission As an intelligence analyst, you'll be part of the signals intelligence division, which conducts signals collection to provide information and early warning about threats and conditions in the world that support the government's foreign, security, and defense policies. Signals intelligence involves gathering information from signals and data, which is then processed and analyzed to ultimately produce intelligence reports delivered to our clients. As an analyst, you'll be the crucial first link in an exciting production chain. You'll be the one making the initial interpretation and assessment of what will later be presented as finished reports to our clients. In your role as an analyst, your main duties after training and practical service will be: Identify, locate, and interpret radio traffic Produce material for outgoing reports Process and analyze information You'll work closely with others but also independently, contributing your part to the whole. The work pace is hectic and at times stressful. You'll work in shifts, as operations run around the clock. You'll primarily work at our naval collection station with everything that entails for the physical work environment, but work at other locations may also occur. Ship-based duties require you to pass a basic health examination, repeated every other year. Your service begins with internal training and practical service. The role involves official travel, especially during your first period of employment. You may also be assigned to serve in rotation at other locations in Sweden. It's therefore important that you're flexible and willing to travel and work in different locations. Your Qualifications We're looking for someone with: At least completed upper secondary school education Strong knowledge of Russian Very strong skills in Swedish and English, with excellent ability to express yourself orally and in writing Good general computer skills We consider the following as merits: Language studies, beyond Swedish and English, at least at upper secondary level Experience in signals intelligence or signals warfare Experience with radio communication Experience in analytical work and report compilation Experience and/or knowledge of reporting and military affairs Background in the Swedish Armed Forces, the Navy, or previous work on vessels Use of Russian in your professional role Knowledge of other languages besides Russian Your Profile We place great importance on your personality, and we're looking for someone who is good at collaboration and values information sharing to achieve results with others. More Information The workplace is located in the Karlskrona area. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves security clearance classification.
