Prästängsskolan is the secondary school in central Eksjö where the auditorium, student café, and school library form the entrance and focal point. The school environment has been built on the principles of safety, acceptance, encouragement, openness to development, and collaboration. Relational work is therefore our focus. All of us working together for students' success is what characterizes our school. Every student experiences participation in their learning through formative instruction by professional teachers aiming to achieve all the goals of the curriculum. Parallel subject offerings provide flexibility in teaching, adapted to students' different knowledge and experiences. To ensure all students succeed, we work with collaborative learning through grade-level teams, subject teams, and at the school level. The school's student support team is a valuable resource at all levels. RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be part of our special education team, which consists of one special education teacher and five special educators. You will also be part of the student support team and school leadership group, participating in preventive and health-promoting work so that all students receive adequate support. You have a consulting and mentoring role toward colleagues and school leadership, and you contribute to the school's development by applying a special education perspective to the school's processes.
In your role as a special education teacher, you will work together with teachers and the student support team to provide students with the guidance and stimulation they need in their learning and personal development. You support teachers in their work with accommodations and special support. As a special education teacher, you also work directly with students, providing interventions and instruction both individually and in groups.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a degree in special education and teaching certification.
Prior experience is a merit. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
