Job Responsibilities As a special education teacher at Norrstrandsskolan, you will be part of the school's student welfare team where collegial learning and collaboration between student welfare professionals are in focus. Close collaboration between student welfare, teachers, and other colleagues is a fundamental requirement in our work where students come first. The student welfare team includes, among others, a special education teacher and a special education instructor with whom you will work closely. We now need to expand the team with a special education teacher/instructor. You will conduct assessments, provide support, and document the progress of students in need of accommodations and special support within your team. The position includes collaborating with the school's other teachers to instruct students in various configurations such as full class, smaller teaching groups, and individually. You are expected to take an active role in the school's student welfare work of a proactive and preventative nature, with focus on accessible learning environments and a language- and knowledge-developing approach. Qualifications We are looking for a certified teacher with a special education degree. We are also interested in those studying special education who have not yet completed your training. As a person, we see that you are self-driven and take responsibility for advancing your work in a structured manner. You work goal- and results-oriented and have a clear focus on student development and goal achievement. You are skilled at building relationships and find it easy to establish trusting collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues. You also have good pedagogical insight and the ability to adapt your working methods based on students' different needs.
