JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a special education teacher, you are a qualified discussion partner to school leadership, work teams, and individual educators on both special education and school development matters. You help drive student welfare initiatives and are part of the school's student welfare team (EHT). Together with school leadership, you have overall responsibility for developing teaching quality and preventive and health-promoting work. The school works clearly with student welfare as everyone's responsibility with already established routines for development, reflection, and systematic quality work. The school works systematically with Analysis Meetings based on knowledge and Work Meetings with teachers and professionals from EHT based on events or individual students. Through supervision focusing on a salutogenic approach, you contribute specialized knowledge that develops the pedagogical work in the school. You stay current with new special education research and literature to share with the school. You conduct assessments regarding needs for special support and assist in developing and following up on intervention plans. You implement pedagogical interventions in the classroom for and with students, thus working at the individual, group, and unit levels. As a person, we see that you have an easy time building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and contribute to students' academic and social development in an engaged manner. You are proactive and enjoy taking initiative, are experienced in leading meetings with guardians, external partners, and school staff. You communicate well in writing and contribute significantly to the unit's systematic quality work. You are someone who wants to continue developing, with great curiosity and the mindset that problems exist only before the solution. QUALIFICATIONS You are trained as a Special Education Teacher and hold teacher certification for primary school or preschool. It is important that you are confident in your professional role.
