In Gagnef's preschools, you will work closely with committed principals, pedagogical supervisors, and an experienced special education colleague to create accessible learning environments where all children have the opportunity to succeed. —My name is Johanna Ädel and I am the preschool director at Gagnef Municipality. Together with our principals, pedagogical supervisors, and special education teachers, I work to develop an equitable and inclusive preschool for all children. We are now looking for a new special education teacher who wants to be part of that journey. Are you the one we're looking for? Gagnef Municipality has eight preschools distributed across seven locations. The preschool management organization consists of four principals, two pedagogical supervisors, and two special education teachers. During the fall, one of our special education teachers is moving to a new position in another municipality, and we are therefore looking for a new colleague. Our team also includes an administrator and a placement coordinator. The preschool management team is led by me as preschool director, and joint meetings are held for planning, development, and collegial learning. Your role extends across all of Gagnef's locations, so a Class B driver's license and access to your own car are required; travel compensation is provided. Within Gagnef's preschools, we work for equitable education and care for all children. In spring 2026, we initiated a review of child health work. The work to create clearer structures has since gained momentum. You will play a central role in the continued development work around our child health plan and help build long-term structures for preventive and health-promoting work. As a special education teacher with us, you have a broad mandate to support and develop the preschool's operations. The focus is on contributing to making teaching and learning environments accessible to all children, with particular emphasis on children in need of support. You will work primarily at the group and organizational levels and will be an important resource for work teams in their development efforts. Duties Support work teams in identifying, analyzing, and meeting children's needs Develop inclusive and accessible learning environments Work in a preventive and health-promoting manner Provide guidance to work teams on special education matters Conduct observations and assessments Follow up on and evaluate adaptations and support Contribute to professional development Collaborate with guardians and external partners We are looking for someone who: Holds a special education degree Has experience working in preschool Has strong ability to mentor and foster development in work teams Is analytical, structured, and solution-focused Has an inclusive approach and focuses on the best interests of the child Experience with or knowledge of language, speech, and communication development as well as linguistic vulnerability is considered an asset We are looking for someone who thrives working both strategically and operationally. You have the ability to build trusting relationships, lead professional conversations, and apply special education knowledge in practical development together with work teams and management. You see opportunities in collaboration and actively contribute to developing accessible and inclusive education for all children. As a person, you are proactive and work well with others. You have good pedagogical insight and a holistic perspective in your work. You come up with ideas and new approaches, and you are confident, attentive, and solution-focused even in challenging situations. Terms 80–100% permanent position with start date by agreement. Before employment, a valid criminal record certificate from the Swedish Police Authority must be presented. Class B driver's license with access to your own car.
