Central Child and Student Health in Tingsryd is now seeking an engaged special education teacher for preschool work. About the Position As a special education teacher in preschool, your organizational affiliation is with the Central Child and Student Health, where you will be one of three special education teachers on the preschool team. You will also be a colleague with other central support functions such as school psychologist, speech-language pathologist, and specialized teachers. All preschools in Tingsryds Municipality have a special education teacher assigned to their operations, which means that as a special education teacher with us, you will serve multiple preschools. The unit's principal leads the work with special education and other child health initiatives at their preschool. This current position is linked to three preschools, where you work in close collaboration with the units' educators and on behalf of each principal. An important task for you and your colleagues on the preschool team is to collaborate with leadership, principals, and educators to contribute to the development of equitable child health work with high quality. As a special education teacher in preschool, you also have an active role in general preventive and promotional work, to develop the preschool's learning environments and working methods to create good and equitable conditions for all children. A natural part of the assignment is collaboration with other actors such as guardians, child health services, child and youth habilitation, social services, and receiving schools during transitions. The assignment includes, among other things: working closely with children and educators in the educational activities providing educators with practical support and advice on special education matters working together with principals and educators in organizational development and systematic quality work guiding and being a conversation partner for educators in work concerning children in need of support having overall responsibility for conducting educational assessments, as well as developing, monitoring, and evaluating action plans and support measures collaborating with guardians and other professionals, such as child health services and social services contributing to a smooth transition for children in need of support when they leave preschool for preschool class Qualifications We are seeking someone who is educated as a preschool teacher or equivalent and has experience working in preschool Special Education degree B driver's license is a requirement for this position You have good knowledge of children's learning and development, as well as broad special education expertise regarding factors that can create barriers or opportunities for children's participation and learning. You work from an inclusive approach and have a good ability to support and guide educators, guardians, and colleagues. You are receptive, clear, and unpretentious, and have an easy time creating good relationships and trust. You enjoy collaborating with educators, principals, guardians, and other professionals and want to contribute to the development of preschool's educational activities. You have the ability to independently plan, structure, and follow up on your work and to translate special education knowledge into concrete support in daily educational practice. You see possibilities and solutions, are positive and accommodating, and communicate well in both speech and writing. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
