Ref: 20261925 Job Responsibilities We are now looking for a special education teacher interested in a new position with us at Munkhätteskolan! At Munkhätteskolan, student welfare work is the responsibility of the entire school, to create the best school for each student. Through various forums, you are responsible for the important work of creating accessible learning environments for all students at the school, although in this position you will primarily work with grades 4-6. You support teachers in identifying students' needs and organizing instruction that meets all students' needs. We strive for good collaboration where student welfare professionals and teachers have the opportunity to work together on guidance, stimulation, and support measures. You are responsible for developing support work in close collaboration with teaching teams. You lead professional development based on the school's systematic quality work. You plan and conduct instruction, assessments, coaching, and observations based on needs at both individual and group levels. You are responsible for the process around special support and associated documentation, as well as follow-up and evaluation. Together we create the best school for each student! Qualifications You hold a degree in special education and a teaching degree with a focus on primary and secondary education. You must have experience working as a primary/secondary school teacher. Previous experience as a special education instructor or special education teacher is a merit. You have insight and knowledge of school development and the school's governing documents and can apply them in your daily work. You have acquired knowledge and experience in coaching/professional development, student welfare work, and working with documentation—pedagogical assessments, adaptations, and special support/intervention programs. You have strong didactic and pedagogical skills and can lead and organize work with students to create a good learning environment throughout the day. Based on evidence-based research, we see that you can develop your work, and we want you to be familiar with and experienced in working with relevant digital tools. Of course, you maintain a professional approach and work for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and your colleagues at the school. About the Workplace Munkhätteskolan is a grades K-9 primary and secondary school and a grades 1-9 adapted primary and secondary school with a total of 650 students.
