Your Workplace
Adult Education in Härryda Municipality serves approximately 800 students total. The educational programs offered include Swedish for immigrants, adapted adult education (komvux), basic and upper secondary adult education including care and nursing programs, vocational adult education within the Gothenburg Region municipal federation, validation, and higher vocational education. Some contract-based training is currently offered and planned to expand.
The school is characterized by diversity and flexibility. Adult Education is located in Mölnlycke, approximately 15 minutes from Gothenburg city center.
Your Assignment
Duties may include support, assessment, student conversations and accommodations, and participation in the school's development work. The role involves working with students ranging from Swedish for Immigrants to Higher Vocational Education. Group instruction, primarily in adapted study programs, and collaboration with social services, employment services, and other organizations occur regularly. Evening instruction may be required.
This position is a temporary holiday replacement, and probation may be applicable.
Requirements for the Position
You must be a qualified special education teacher or special educator. Prior experience in adult education is an advantage. Experience seeking funding for development projects is also beneficial.
You work independently and collaborate well with other staff regarding students. You have experience working with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities or similar challenges.
A certificate of good conduct from the Police is required for employment. A certificate from the suspicion register may also be required depending on the position.
