The position is permanent at 100% with a start date to be agreed upon. The resource school is centrally located near Danderyd center and Kyrkskolan. The school will have approximately 32 students in four classes. Our staff works in well-functioning teams together with engaged and experienced colleagues. You are warmly welcome to join us! 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a special education teacher, you plan, carry out, and follow up on instruction for students with special needs. You work individually and in small groups, designing additional accommodations and specialized support based on students' needs. You conduct assessments, mapping, and analyses within your area of specialization and support teachers and resource pedagogues with teaching strategies and didactic choices. When needed, you model working methods in the classroom and contribute to the team's professional development. Your duties include participating in pedagogical assessments and intervention programs, as well as tracking student development in relation to goals and learning requirements. Documentation and analysis of results at the individual and group level are important parts of the work. You work closely with student welfare services, colleagues, and guardians to create a comprehensive picture of each student's needs. With your subject-didactic expertise and ability to individualize instruction, you create accessible, structured, and predictable learning environments for students with significant support needs. We work from a salutogenic perspective and actively promote preventive and supportive efforts. You will meet competent and dedicated colleagues. You have strong analytical skills, are emotionally resilient, and handle stress and difficult situations in a professional and calm manner. Your interactions are attentive, considerate, and adapted to each student's individual needs, and you actively contribute to creating a safe, clear, and accessible learning environment. You work closely and collaboratively with colleagues and student welfare services, take responsibility for shared decisions, and promote an approach where consensus and clarity are central. You are open to continuous learning, recognize the value of collaborative learning and shared structures, while also being adaptable and development-oriented. We place great importance on personal qualities. We are looking for someone who: • Is a certified special education teacher and elementary teacher (grades F-6). • Has experience teaching grades F-6. • Has experience working as a special education teacher. • Has experience working with students with extensive special support needs. • Is well familiar with the school's mission and current governing documents. • Has knowledge of and practical experience with inclusive and accessible learning environments. • Is comfortable using digital tools. • Has excellent knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
