Myggenäs School educates approximately 200 students from preschool class through grade 5. The school is situated in a beautiful natural setting with forest and sea as nearest neighbors. The school has an after-school care program with three departments. We are a small school with teachers who have high expertise and long work experience. The school is characterized by a spirit where we are a team that supports and develops each other. We see all children as everyone's children and view the child's entire day as equally important in lifelong learning. The goal for those of us working in the Children's and Education Administration. 1 position(s). DUTIES We strengthen our work so that more students reach their goals. You work individually and in groups with students in need of special support, plan and follow up interventions, write assessments and action plans, and mentor colleagues. You have an important role in the student welfare team, development group, and work team at our school. The work also involves collaboration with guardians and various authorities. As a special education teacher, you plan, implement, and follow up on instruction, create structure and study environments. You collaborate closely with colleagues and school leadership, share collective responsibility for all students, and contribute to a positive school climate. It is meritorious if you have special education teacher credentials or advanced knowledge in early reading, writing, and mathematics development. In collaboration with school leadership and colleagues, you take shared responsibility for all school students, the development of operations, and work to create a positive atmosphere at the school. QUALIFICATIONS If this fits you, you might be the person we're looking for. You: • have a special education teacher degree or other education and experience that the employer deems relevant for the assignment. • have a teaching degree with teacher certification for grades 1-6 or 4-6. • are well-acquainted with the school's mission and governing documents. • are responsive and see and act from each student's needs and conditions. • are driven by a desire to see opportunities for improvement in operations, for students, and for yourself. • find it easy to collaborate, build relationships, and communicate clearly with students, guardians, and colleagues. • are positive, take initiative, and solution-oriented. • have the ability to inspire and engage. • are responsible and organized. • have good digital skills (Unikum, Prorenata, Teams, and Microsoft Office, etc.). Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3-6 months, start date: 2027-01-07, end date: 2027-06-11.
