We are now seeking a special education teacher for the introduction programs at Alströmergymnasiet! Alströmergymnasiet has approximately 1450 students distributed across 13 national programs, adapted upper secondary school, and introduction programs. Currently we are at the top as the obvious choice for the municipality's young people when choosing upper secondary school, which we constantly strive to be.

WORK DUTIES
As a special education teacher in the introduction program, you work closely with students and play an important role in their development toward further studies or other employment. You plan, implement, and follow up on instruction based on students' individual needs and prerequisites, with a focus on creating good opportunities for learning and progression.
The assignment includes assessing students' need for support, adapting instruction, and working with various pedagogical and special education interventions. You monitor students' knowledge development and contribute to finding strategies that strengthen their ability to reach their goals.
An important part of the role is also to collaborate with subject teachers, student services, and other professionals regarding students' learning and development. Together you create a whole around the student and work to ensure that instruction and support are based on each student's needs and prerequisites.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
• Teaching certification and special education teacher degree
• Experience teaching at the upper secondary level
It is meriting if you have experience working in introduction programs and/or experience working with students with special needs.
As a person you are confident and stable in your professional role and have a professional and respectful approach to students, guardians, and colleagues. You have a good understanding of students' different circumstances and adapt instruction based on their needs. A flexible working style enables you to meet changing conditions and find solutions that work for the individual student. You enjoy collaborating with others and contribute to good cooperation regarding students' learning and development.
Employment type: Permanent employment.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2027-01-08 or by agreement.
