The position is based at Holmesskolan, Oleby School, and Östmarks School. Holmesskolan is a primary school in Torsby with approximately 320 students from preschool through grade 3, as well as an adapted primary program. Oleby School is located about four kilometers east of Torsby. It has approximately 50 students in preschool through grade 3. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a special education teacher, you will work together with the school's student support team and educators to support student learning and development. You will help create accessible learning environments and develop instruction so that all students have the best possible conditions to reach their goals. You will work closely with teachers and students through support measures in the classroom, individually, and in small groups. Your responsibilities also include mentoring educators on special education matters as well as assessing, analyzing, and monitoring student learning. You are responsible for screening and assessment in language, reading, and writing development. Together with teachers, you will analyze results and plan interventions that meet student needs at both individual and group levels. We are looking for you who want to contribute to the development of our operations while making a difference for student learning and well-being. You have a strong ability to create trusting and professional relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You meet each student with attentiveness and respect and take a holistic perspective where strengths, needs, and resources are utilized. Through your approach, you create security, motivation, and conditions for development. You are flexible in your work methods and adapt both support and communication based on each student's needs. In this way, you contribute to inclusion and strengthen students' confidence in their own abilities. Collaboration is a natural part of your role, and together with colleagues and various student health professionals, you work both preventatively and to promote health. You help develop structures, work methods, and learning environments that increase accessibility and give students good opportunities to succeed in their learning. You feel confident in your role as a mentor and actively contribute to discussions about pedagogical and didactic matters. By making needs visible, analyzing results, and developing operations, you are also an important part of the school's systematic quality work. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: • Hold a teaching degree with a specialization in special education. • Have strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. • Have a B-class driver's license and access to your own car, as travel between schools is part of the position. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Indefinite, start date: August 10, 2026.
