Brinells Middle School is a grades 7-9 school that also includes an adapted elementary school program. We have approximately 370 students at the school. Our school is characterized by diversity and inclusion, and we actively work with language development. Students from different cultures study together, which enriches our teaching and school environment. Safety, responsibility, and respect are the school's core principles and permeate our entire operations. We believe that relationship-building work is the key to a good environment and successful academic results. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and implement specialized support at group and individual levels
• Evaluate, analyze, and provide feedback on interventions and results to relevant parties
• Conduct assessments and diagnostics for mapping of classes, groups, and individual students
• Investigate students' needs for specialized support
• Create a good learning environment for individual students in smaller groups and in whole-class settings
• Document and assess based on governing documents
• Encourage and create conditions for student participation
• Collaborate with others within and outside school, such as guardians, colleagues, student health services, and social services
• Plan and implement individualized instruction in adapted elementary/secondary school programs
• Provide support and advice to teachers and other educational staff on how to adapt teaching methods to increase students' learning opportunities
• Work with specialized support at group and individual levels
• Follow developments in methods and research regarding work with students in need of specialized support

Special Education Teacher degree with certification requirements
