Bjursås school district is entering an exciting development phase and is now seeking an engaged and qualified special education teacher who wants to help shape the school of the future. The school district consists of three schools; Bjursås School F–9, Grycksboskolan F-6, and Sågmyraskolan F-6. All schools are rural schools with close proximity to beautiful green and forest areas, as well as excellent opportunities for outdoor and sports activities. Job Responsibilities As a special education teacher, you will be part of the school's student welfare team and have a central role in special education work. You work in close cooperation with the principal, other special education teachers, special education specialists, and other professionals within student welfare. You will also be part of the school development group led by the principal. Your main job responsibilities include: Ensure quality in special education work based on current research and applicable regulations. Contribute to early identification and assessment of students' need for additional support. Conduct assessments, evaluations, and establish action plans in close dialogue with mentors, students, and guardians. Provide consultative and coaching support to colleagues, the principal, and guardians. Contribute to systematic quality work to increase goal attainment. Work both individually and in classrooms with students as well as coach colleagues to adapt and develop learning environments. Qualifications The role requires: Teacher certification Good communication skills in Swedish, both verbal and written. Digital competence and experience using digital tools as an integrated part of teaching and documentation. Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is flexible and applies a variety of methods to meet students' different needs. You are analytical, development-oriented, and have the ability to reflect on and improve your pedagogical practice. You communicate well and collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, guardians, and school leadership. Your ability to coach and support colleagues is of great importance.
