Torsvik School is one of Sweden's most successful primary schools. The school was founded in 1907 and here there is a wonderful blend of innovation and tradition. With good connections and only 15 minutes from T-central, the school is well-located for most people. We accept approximately 800 students in grades pre-K through 9, of which approximately 250 students are in the lower grades.

JOB DUTIES
We are now seeking a special education teacher for grades pre-K through 3 with a focus on mathematics. We are looking for someone with great commitment to student learning. The work involves conducting screenings, following up on results, and working with students who risk not reaching their learning goals. Additionally, you will work together with students, guardians, and teachers to assess the need for special support and establish intervention programs in grades pre-K through 3. You meet students with a special education pedagogical approach. This includes prioritizing flexible and individualized solutions based on each student's wishes and needs. Teaching takes place individually, in small groups, and in the classroom.
To succeed in the role of special education teacher/special education specialist, we expect you to be a clear leader with the ability to create and maintain good relationships with students, staff, and guardians. Together with the school's student support team, teachers, after-school activities, and resources, you drive the school's development forward so that students feel good and increase goal attainment.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a certified special education teacher. We welcome both those with extensive experience and those newly qualified. We would appreciate it if you have knowledge of various teaching methods based on current research and an interest in continuously staying updated within the field of accessible learning.
You have a good ability to create and maintain positive relationships, an engaged approach, and a strong focus on student learning. You work systematically based on the conviction that all students want to and can succeed. You are clear in your communication and take responsibility for your entire assignment. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and a willingness to find solutions together with others.

The Municipality applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement. The position is a full-time permanent employment.
