Welcome to our inspiring community at Gnesta Waldorf School! About the School The school is beautifully located on Gnestahöjden, a ten-minute walk from Gnesta train station, 40 minutes from Stockholm Central Station. The principal is a non-profit association founded in 1993. Gnesta is a growing municipality and we are a modern Waldorf school that is constantly growing and developing with approximately 190 students distributed from preschool through grade 9 and after-school care. Gnesta Waldorf School is characterized by a holistic approach to students that aims to develop the whole person – mind, heart, and will. Some things that distinguish our pedagogy are that we work with interdisciplinary thematic periods and aim to integrate creative activities such as art, crafts, and music into all school subjects. The Position This is a permanent position at 60% that begins with a 6-month probationary period. It may be possible to extend by an additional 20% during 26/27. Start date as soon as possible. Job Description As a special education teacher at Gnesta Waldorf School, you work preventively, promotively, and interventively to help our students meet learning objectives. You will work together with our teachers and in our EHT (which consists of a special education specialist, counselor, school nurse, and principal) to provide our students with what they need to develop to their fullest potential. Your Qualifications You have a degree in special education. You have a strong commitment and interest in creating the best conditions for students. You are analytical, structured, and goal-oriented. You are communicative and inspiring. You are flexible in your approach and enjoy collaborating. You have basic IT skills. You have experience with Waldorf pedagogy or an interest in learning about it. Requirements State teaching certification or Waldorf teaching certification.
