The role as a Special Education Teacher at Rönnenskolan involves both teaching students and conducting educational assessments. The position primarily includes planning and implementing instruction for students with special needs and, together with other staff, conducting assessments and developing action plans when needed. The position also includes some evaluation of special support needs, development of intervention programs, and follow-up on implemented support. As a Special Education Teacher, you work to ensure that students achieve the best possible development, both academically and socially, and you actively engage and encourage students to develop as far as possible to reach their goals. You will become part of our student support team, which currently consists of a special education coordinator, school nurse, counselor, school psychologist, career guidance counselor, student coordinator, and school leadership. The Special Education Teacher provides support to the leadership in working with children and students with special needs and participates in program and method development. Qualifications It is a requirement that you are a certified primary school teacher with a Special Education Teacher certificate, or are currently pursuing such a qualification. It is advantageous if you have a Special Education Teacher certificate with a focus on language, writing, and reading development. It is also advantageous if you have worked at high-index schools and have Swedish as a Second Language in your education. You are engaged and professional in your role and you contribute to development in the organization at different levels based on your profession. You enjoy working in teams, are good at meeting other people, but can also work independently. Furthermore, you have insight and knowledge of school development and school governing documents and can apply them in your daily work. You have acquired knowledge and experience from teaching as a Special Education Teacher and are familiar with and knowledgeable about working with relevant digital tools. You are both courageous and responsive, while also having a strong ability to work in teams with different professional competencies.
