Ref: 20261902 Job Responsibilities As a special education teacher in mathematics for grades 7–9, you will be an important part of the school's development work. You work closely with students, teachers, work teams, and student support services to create favorable conditions for all students to develop and progress as far as possible in their mathematical development. The role includes planning and delivering instruction within the framework of special support, both individually and in small groups. You will also be involved in assessment, pedagogical evaluation, and follow-up of students' knowledge development and contribute your special education expertise in efforts to improve instruction. You will work closely with the mathematics teachers at the middle school level and provide support for students in need of extra accommodations and special assistance. You contribute by analyzing students' difficulties and needs as well as by proposing work methods and teaching strategies that can strengthen student learning. You become part of the school's student support team. Together with colleagues, you work proactively and preventively to remove obstacles to student learning and create accessible instruction. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher with a special education degree with a focus on mathematics. You must be authorized to teach mathematics in grades 7–9. Previous experience working as a special education teacher at the middle school level is a merit. You have good knowledge of the primary school's curriculum and can implement it in daily work. You have good knowledge of relevant digital tools. You also have strong didactic and pedagogical competence and can independently plan, organize, and follow up on instruction and support measures based on students' different needs. You have good knowledge of mathematics pedagogy and can identify, analyze, and address different types of mathematical difficulties. You have an inclusive and solution-focused approach and understand both the student's individual needs and the importance of instruction for the student's development. We are looking for someone who is relationship-building, clear, and confident in interactions with students. You collaborate easily and view collegial work as an important foundation for creating good learning environments and providing students with the right support. You enjoy working closely with teachers, work teams, and student support services and actively contribute to the school's continued development. You have strong communication skills and can build trustful relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
