IES Eskilstuna is one of the largest schools in Sweden with 1,185 students enrolled in grades F-9 and approx 125 staff members. IES Eskilstuna is now seeking two committed special education teachers for grades 4-9 who want to work closely with both students and colleagues to strengthen student learning and contribute to an accessible and inclusive learning environment. About the Role As a special education teacher, you will support students with special needs, both individually and in small groups. You will assess student needs, plan and implement targeted teaching interventions, and monitor student progress. The role includes establishing and monitoring intervention plans, managing documentation of student support measures, and working in the Prorenata documentation system. The role also includes supporting colleagues with questions regarding accommodations, learning environment, and teaching strategies. You will contribute your expertise to collaborative work around students needing support and participate in the school's efforts to develop instruction so it becomes accessible to more students. You will, among other things: plan and deliver instruction for students with special needs assess student needs for special support and monitor interventions establish, monitor, and evaluate intervention plans manage documentation related to support measures work in the school's Prorenata documentation system contribute to developing instruction and accessible learning environments collaborate with the student support team and school leadership work with teachers regarding accommodations and support measures We are Looking for Someone Who is a certified teacher with a special education teacher qualification, with certification for grades 4-9 has a structured and solution-focused work approach has strong collaboration skills and enjoys working closely with colleagues has a relational approach and sees possibilities in every student's learning What We Offer A meaningful role where you work closely with students while contributing to the school's shared development alongside committed colleagues.
